Problem
Posing as an insurance broker for "We Insure Until We Have to Pay Claims, Inc.," Fred Friendly writes a policy for Polly Unsaturated. Polly has Fred's card, and letterhead, and gives him a check for $218 as payment on her health insurance policy. Later, Polly finds out Fred is a fraud! He had no insurance license, and did not represent the firm of "We Insure..." In spite of repeated attempts, Polly cannot get redress from "We Have...Claims, Inc." Who is really at fault in this case?
