Political refugees and immigrants present unique issues for human service professionals Immigrants face multiple challenges as they acculturate to a new home, language, culture, and environment. These challenges may be further complicated by a history of violence, trauma, and stress from their native country Immigrants and refugees often face severe poverty, unhealthy living conditions, and separation from family members After viewing the Immigration and Child Separation Policy, Discuss what changes, if any, need to be made in order to better serve immigrants and refugees in the United States. Note - this is NOT a political post or a political discussion. We are addressing ways to best service this vulnerable population who has been exposed to repeated trauma. In order to receive credit this problem must be explained thoroughly.
