Problem: Using your fire department as the model, which stakeholders (specifically) should be involved in the strategic planning process of YOUR department? Why would each stakeholder be vital to the process? Do not describe what strategic planning is. Be specific as to who and why would they be part of your agencies process. In addition, does your agency have a 3-5 year published goal or plan? How are you, as the employee, notified as these goals and would you adjust the plan or delivery method if you were the Chief Officer? If your agency does not have a 3-5 year plan (or no strategic planning) then what would you, as the Chief Officer, like to see as the plan and how would you communicate this with your agency?
