Which social determinants most affects health issue

Assignment Task:

Respond by explaining how their chosen national healthcare issue/stressor may also impact your work setting and what (if anything) is being done to address the national healthcare issue/stressor. Peer responses should include at least two (2) supporting scholarly, peer-reviewed references

Artificial intelligence (AI) has made its way into healthcare and has been shown to have positive outcomes for patients.  These can be done through faster diagnosis and time to treatment, and they can assist clinicians in getting patient information.  Although AI can help with positive outcome goals, it threatens patient data security by having all patient information held electronically and being at risk to hackers (Rahman et al., 2024).  Policies lag in the support for the patients using AI due to the speed at which it progresses.  This poses a delay in AI diagnostics with patients and potentially a delay in care.

Which social determinant(s) most affects this health issue?

The transition to electronic healthcare records (EHR) has provided easy access for AI to work collaboratively to obtain trends and monitoring of patients.  This information is gathered on many different levels of EHR, and AI utilizes the data to customize patient data.  Although the AI data provides customized information, the data inputted into the EHR lacks the opportunity that each patient is different and captures generalized information with exceptions for specificity. As both these programs progress, AI can create better information on the social determinants of each patient through proper data collection and provide better guidance to clinicians (Bompelli et al., 2021).

How the health system work setting has responded to the healthcare issue/stressor? Need Assignment Help?

AI has affected various departments within the healthcare system. Whether it has been receiving faster results in radiology through the technology, monitoring patient vitals, or alarming when certain limits are surpassed,  Through time, healthcare has learned to embrace AI as the technology has forced this as well.  As healthcare companies want to get better equipment, the manufacturers of this equipment have built-in AI technology to assist in removing human error.  AI has streamlined many processes and decreased workloads for clinicians, but clinicians can compensate where AI is lacking (Yekaterina, 2024).  AI continues to be a work in progress and could be better. It should continue to be utilized as suggestive instead of perfect accuracy.
