Assignment task: We assess identifying insects using taxonomic keys. We begin by analyzing those embryological features and development patterns that are relevant to identifying adult insects. Additionally, we learn to identify adult insects using either a taxonomic or dichotomous key. When done, you will be able to explain how to use a taxonomic or dichotomous key to identify insect orders.
