Question: Productivity involves fast yet safe and high quality of work. Which is hard to achieve on IT world. We need an ample amount of time and ideas in order to execute the work we need. Companies and organization has it's own distinct rules and regulations on how they can maintain and increase productivity, meet deadlines and security on work. In this scenario they have decided to use a strict type of strategy wherein they monitor closely the work of their employees in their different branches by setting hand and fingerprint recognition, GPS on company vehicles, surveillance camera and tracker for phones and computers. We cannot blame this companies for doing so, it depends upon the goal of the company and how it will react to their employees, most especially in African and Asia branches whom I think are being "revengeful" for this strict implementations. While on European side, They may have increased their absenteeism rate and uses the companies assets for personal use, yet their productivity level was still high. Coming up to this, we must anchor the work-life balance accordingly. We must understood that different continents including Africa, Asia and Europe has their own culture and unique work-life balance.
