San Bernardino, Was It Terrorism? On December 2, 2015, over a dozen individuals were killed, and nearly 2 dozen were injured when Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik attacked the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health holiday party. FBI Director, James Comey, testified to Congress that Farook and Malik appeared to be “homegrown” and inspired by, but not directed, by any Islamic Militant groups such as ISIL.
