When it comes to observation regarding the blatant inconsistency between how male and female juvenile offenders are treated by the justice system.
Not only within the juvenile courts but prior to arrest and while in juvenile detention or even by response programs, the system initially processed a majority of male offenders but female deviance and delinquency has steadily increased while the system has consistently failed to address characteristics which are more commonly associated with females, especially juvenile females.
Why do you think this failure remains fairly persistent, even with significant changes that the juvenile justice system has experienced?
