In most conversations about diversity, race seems to be the first dimension of diversity that comes to mind. Think about this as you respond to the following questions in a 1-page journal reflection:
- When did you first learn how you were different from other people in any way? When did this difference specifically become a racial consciousness?
- When and where did you learn the characteristics that were applied to different racial groups, including your own? What were they?"
- What can you do to change these stereotypical beliefs in order to become a better manager?
