Reflect on the brief video about the controversy around the treatment of MDR-TB in Peru, the Farmer article regarding the medical treatment of MDR-TB past, present, and future, and the Moutinho article about the link between TB and poverty and respond to the following:
Task
• Discuss the health equity issues regarding the treatment of MDR-TB in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
• Describe what you consider the roadblocks to equitable treatment for all and how progress can be made for individuals and communities living with this disease of poverty.
