Assignment: OpenGL Project
Prepare a Sun, Earth, Moon rotating system using OpenGL. It is close to this youtube video "Sun, Earth and Moon in OpenGL"
Requirements:
The goal of this assignment is to give you a chance to apply all that you have learned to a project of your own choosing.
A. It must involve some serious 3D computer graphics.
B. It must be worth 100 points
C. It must be do-able in 1 week.
D. It can involve textures, but doesn't have to.
E. It can involve lighting, but doesn't have to.
F. It can involve shaders, but doesn't have to.
G. It can be based on other work that you have seen, but it must be your own implementation
H. It must be adequately explained in your write-up.
The Turn-In Process:
I. Your electronic turn-in will consist of:
a. All source files (.cpp, .obj, .bmp, .vert, .frag)
b. Your executable.
c. All texture images
d. Your PDF report.
You report needs to include:
a. The text from your proposal
b. What you actually did for your project, with images
c. How your project differs from what you proposed, and why
d. Any impressive cleverness you want us to know about
e. What you learned from doing this project (i.e., what you know now that you didn't know when you started)
f. Any images that are especially representative of what you did
g. A link to the video showing off your project.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
