Analyze Scaffolding in the Early Childhood Classroom

Instructions

Research indicates that scaffolding is always a best practice in the early childhood classroom. How can you develop (i.e., scaffold) an homework that is geared toward a specific developmental age of a child? What would the homework look like? What would you want the child to learn? Choose an age group. Describe that age group's development: cognitive, physical, and socioemotional. Choose a skill you want the child to learn. Then, develop an homework to help them learn that skill. Provide specific examples to support your thoughts.

Support your homework with at least two scholarly sources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:

(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.

(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
