The focus of this question is on more significant social and system concerns (e.g., stress and burnout, time constraints, medical errors, health disparities) around healthcare in the United States. Based on what you have learned in Chapters 5 and 6, what would you say to doctors who are unsettled, devastated, and/or embarrassed by a (medical, cultural, interpersonal) mistake and want to apologize yet are afraid of doing so?
