A. Consider the following scenario and then explain the position a Deontologist and a Virtue Ethicist would adopt:
"Your friend is being chased by a murderer and is hiding in your home. The murderer comes to your door, tells you of their intentions to cause harm, and then asks if your friend is in your home."
a. What would the Deontologist do, and why?
b. What would the Virtue Ethicists do, and why?
B. Kant argues that we must each author our own moral code. Why must we be the authors of our moral codes? Why can we not learn about morality from someone else?
