Writing your counterclaim
What would the other side say to your claim? You already know because you have researched! Use the information you have gathered from research to write the counterclaim. While you won't disprove the counterclaim in your opening paragraph, it is important to acknowledge the counterclaim up front. This will increase your credibility as a speaker and show your audience that you have considered both sides of the argument before coming to a decision.
