Problem
When the birth control pill was in development in the USA, it was tested on women in Puerto Rico who were not told that they were participating in a drug trial. It is suspected that at least one woman died as a result of blood clots, possibly from the birth control pill. Racialized women in the USA and other countries are often skeptical of birth control options offered to them. What would Grasswick say of this skepticism? How might she advise that medical researchers deal with this skepticism, and why?
