Problem: SCOTUS Position Paper
Choose a case that has been decided by the Supreme Court. Read the majority opinion of the Court, as well as any concurring or dissenting opinions. I expect you to read the actual opinion of the Court - not just summaries found on sites like Oyez, etc. I have linked the SCOTUS opinions to the cases listed below to give you an idea of what this should look like. Prepare 5 to 7 pages paper discussing the following:
Case: Packingham v. North Carolina (2017)
• What are the facts of the case?
• Summarize the arguments of the plaintiff and the defendant.
• Based on our readings and class discussions, how would you analyze this case? What would be your conclusion if you were charged with deciding the outcome of this case? Be sure to cite at least five cases we have covered this semester to justify why your decision is an appropriate ruling. (50 points) (Hague v. CIO) (Hudgens v. NLRB) (Stromberg v. The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
