Can you describe the real world value of general education skills? Can you do it using hashtags? Sometimes having to write less is more challenging than having to write more!
1. Post three different hashtags that communicate the value of general education and liberal arts learning from your perspective.
2. You must start a thread before you can read anyone else's.
3. You are encouraged to read each other's hashtag posts, but no written responses are required. Ratings have been enabled for this discussion, so feel free to rate your favorites.
To make a hashtag, simply put a # symbol in front of a word or phrase. Do not use spaces! Numbers are ok to use and you can capitalize individual words if you want to emphasize separate words.

a. What are some strategies for success in college-level coursework in the context of personal and professional life?
b. What will you need to do to maintain your own commitment to using and developing these strategies during your program?

2.5 The Grit Scale
Instructions
1. Complete the Grit Survey. The Grit Scale results place you on a 0-5 scale (i.e., "0", being no or very little grit, "5" being a significant amount of grit). You are also told how your score compares with the rest of American adults who have taken this quiz.
2. Consider your results. Do the results of the survey compare with your personal assessment of your level of grit? Why or Why Not? What are some commitments you can make to improve your grit? What support do you need from those around you?

3. Click on "Student Survey."
4. Answer all of the 40 questions, enter your email address, and your age. Follow the link provided to get your results (The link will also be sent to your email address).
5. Write a brief (1-2 paragraphs) reflection/summary that shows you have met the following course learning outcome:
Evaluate personal readiness for college-level coursework in a digital environment.
• What are the areas of strength that you bring to the higher education learning experience?
• What might be potential areas of challenge as you move ahead with your coursework?
• What strategies will you use to enhance your opportunities for success?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
