In the VA primary care office you work in you have 25 minutes to complete Mrs. Smith's visit.  You are generally able to deal with 4 problems during a visit.

It has been 6 months since Mrs. Smith was last seen in your office, at your last visit you referred her to see the orthopedic surgeon, the opthalmologist, and she was seeing her cardiologist.  You have no labs more recent than 6 months ago.  Please download the answer sheet and based on the Mrs. Smith's medical history, current medications, the list she provides to you and the article you have read about patient lists above, please answer the questions and upload the assignment.  Each question is worth 6.25 points.  Hint: In the real world, there is often more than one correct answer.

1. Which problems based on both his list and his problem list will you address today?

2. What is your rationale for choosing those problems?  (Please be succinct-no more than 2 sentences per dx).

3. What will you do about his prescriptions and test strips?

4. What will you tell him about the balance due?

5. What will you do about the new medical/surgical history information?

6. What will you do about his goals for 2021?

7. What would you anticipate the problems for his next visit will be? (based on todays data).
