When using the ophthalmoscope, the examiner: • Removes his/her glasses and examines the patient's left eye with his/her left eye • Leaves the light on in the examination room and removes the patient's glasses • Removes the patient's glasses and sets the diopter setting at O. • Uses the smaller white light on the ophthalmoscope and instructs the patient to look at the ophthalmoscope
