Case study
46 year- old white male work as a welder at a local steel fabrication factory. Referred by his PCP after a trip to the emergency room wherein he felt he was having a heart attack. Patient reported he felt chest tightness, feeling of impending doom, with SOB. Patient with history of mild hypertension. EKG at the ER was normal. MI was rule out. Physical exam within normal limit. Patient report he takes 3-4 bears each night. Patient report harsh management at his place of employment. HAM-A yields a score of 26
Patient mental status AAOx3, speech clear, coherent and goal directed. Patient mood is bleh and felling nervous.
