Assignment:
Using data from the websites listed in the lecture slides, generate the following two separate files.
Excel Spreadsheet: Attach one Excel spreadsheet with a separate page for each graph requested (minimum of 1 graph per question)
PowerPoint Presentation: attach a PowerPoint presentation that you will present to the class. You have creative license to add details that might enhance the project but make sure to submit at least the minimum requested for each question. Also, you will need to place a hyperlink on each slide to reference the data used for that particular illustration. Make sure the hyperlink works.
You are expected to incorporate, and explain, each of the following statistical concepts at least once in your entire project. Your integration of the statistical concepts below will be assessed based on the appropriateness to the question you are applying the concept to, as well as the proper use of the concept.

1. What weapons are most often used in the commission of a crime?
2. How long do people in the U.S live? Is there a difference between longevity based on age, gender, and race? What demographics have the longest life span?
3. How many abortions occur each year? Do race, age, and income Influence the likelihood of having an abortion?
4. What are the murder rates or the five most populous regions in the US?
5. How does educational attainment vary across states? Is the variation the same for primary, secondary, and college?
6. What are the odds of being a victim of a burglary, auto theft, or robbery in the US? Would my odds change if I owned a home and/or a car?
7. How well do U.S students perform today compared to the past in math, science, and reading?
8. Using Education or Crime data from the same sources identify at least two questions of interest to you and generate the necessary statistics from the list above along with at least two graphical illustrations supporting your answers. This is your creative license questions and the one you will be asked to present to the class.
