Option 2: To what extent did people in Meiji Japan, as depicted only in Sanshiro, believe and embrace the European narrative of the Enlightenment? Be sure to consider any contradictory evidence to your argument. In your answer you must specifically also use at least one of Wollstonecraft's Vindication of the Rights of Woman, Rousseau's Social Contract, or Marx and Engel's Communist Manifesto to illustrate how Europeans developed the narrative of Europe's Enlightenment.
