Evaluation of an Urban Response
Instructions:
Step One: Analysis of an Event
Conduct the necessary research to identify how your chosen topic (Cancer; - See Attached Doc.) was responded to in an urban setting. It may be a good idea to also investigate how media responded to this event.
Include the following in your detailed response:
• What was the event and who was involved?
• What was the social response?
• What was the economic response?
• What was the political response?
• Identify the physical (buildings, or other physical objects such as ambulances), psychological, and environmental factors impacting epidemiological practice and intervention in the setting.
Step Two: Evaluation of an Event Using a SWOT Analysis
Using this unit's readings (See Attached PDF & References), conduct a SWOT analysis of the epidemiological event.
• Complete a SWOT analysis by listing details from the epidemiological event under headings of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Write a short 1-2 paragraph explanation so that your instructor understands each section.
