Problem
Discuss the artworks from the city of Akrotiri on the Island of Thera (see text book). How did the volcanic explosion there affect not only the city but the entire Mediterranean basin? What was the city like before the volcanic eruption? How did the people live? What was the city and the enclosed port like? Were the people able to escape the eruption, and how do you know? Research over and above what is in the test. You should include the theory of why there is a candidate for the lost city of Atlantis as well.
