Assignment task:
Michelle is a first-grade student who is learning to read. However, Michelle grows very frustrated, particularly during independent reading. Michelle tells her teacher she does not enjoy books. Michelle's teacher has begun to assess Michelle in an attempt to better understand Michelle's aversion to reading.
Upon analyzing the results, Michelle's teacher notes that Michelle has a hard time not only with independent reading, but also with understanding what is read. She also struggles to categorize pictures.
Often, she is unable to provide a simple explanation of the contents of a picture.
