Problem 1: Observe people in a public environment, such as a shopping mall or busy restaurant. Distinguish between two people who are friends and two people who are romantically involved based on their nonverbal communication. Think about their nonverbal communication/body language: what about their body language let's you know they're friends or romantically involved.
Problem 2: Describe the scene for each pair/couple, what each were doing using nonverbal elements. What type of nonverbal communication did you use to distinguish the two people in each category (review the types discussed in Chapter 5: kinesics, haptics, physical appearance, etc)? Name and describe at least three different types of nonverbal communication you notice for each pair of people (break down the elements if necessary) in your description.
