What tort, if any, did brian commit

Assignment Task:

Brian, a twelve year old boy, sitting in a classroom and fooling around, kicked James, the boy sitting next to him. The kick was intentional. James had recently suffered an injury to the same leg. As a result of the kick, which in itself was slight, the existing wound became infected and James suffered permanent damage to the leg. What tort, if any, did Brian commit? Should Brian be responsible for the permanent damage to the leg? See Vosburg v. Putney, 80 Wis. 523, 50 N.W. 403 (Wisc. 1891). A television camera crew followed a group of city firefighters and paramedics with their permission. A call came in about a man having a heart attack. The camera crew and the paramedics rushed to the home of the reported victim. Without consent from anyone, the crew followed the paramedics and taped footage of victim suffering a fatal heart attack. Later that night the crew put the footage on the air, also without consent. The victim's wife filed suit against the television network and the city for invasion of privacy infliction of emotional distress. Should she win? See Miller v. National Broadcasting Co. 232 Cal. Rptr. 668 (1986).
