A budget is reflective of an organization's diligence. This is very key for funders. They look at such things as line item allocations, and any excessive amounts for things such as personnel, travel, etc. will raise red flags for a funder, as the budget should be more program focused, with less emphasis on administrative or operating expenses, as this is not what grant funds are intended for. What other things in the budget might cause funders to take a second look?
