Problem: The concepts that stood out to me the most were weeks 5 and 6. Week 5 was implementing change and our discussion that week was about a medical assistant who prescribed a medication for a patient and what the legal and ethical implications of that might be. Week 6 was our policy analysis power point assignment where we looked deeper at how a nurse practitioner can have a greater impact on the communities in which they serve. I think I will be able to use the broad concepts learned in this course to lead and to be an example to those whom I work with. As advanced practice nurses, we need to conduct ourselves in an ethical and accountable manner and model behaviors that reflect those values. I believe our course learning activities and assignments will help me achieve Program Outcome 5 because throughout the course we have been asked to provide evidence-based examples in our work and we have worked collaboratively and discussed the need to advocate for positive outcomes quite extensively. I also believe compassion is inherent in the work nurses do and it should be exemplified through the work we do as advanced practice nurses. The sub-competency
