Essay Assignment
After taking the personality compass test I identified my primary direction which is South and my secondary one which is East. These results seem to be pretty accurate since I've always been a person who avoid conflicts; that's really my pet peeve. However, something that surprised me is my pace. I don't consider myself slow and laid-back person. I actually think that I'm very proactive and organized. I don't like conflicts, but If I have to fight and struggle to achieve one of my goals, I'll do it.
I believe it is crucial to be patient and tolerant to develop more balance as an individual or as a group. People have to be respectful and understand that everyone is free to have their own believes. When we are tolerant and listen more, we can increase our culture about the world by learning different ways of thinking. This has helped me to learn how to express my ideas better by explaining them to someone who not always thinks the way I do.
I'm a senior, and I'm majoring in Finance. Being a natural team player, process centered, and patient will help me a lot to develop better skills for my career. However, as every other person, I have weaknesses and I have to learn how to balance them. I have to work with both, my strengths and weaknesses to be successful. Patience will help me to work with people and listen to new ideas. Those ideas can help me to create new plans and put them in practice. I'm a mediator more than a conflict person, so that will help my team to keep a good healthy environment. To sum up, this test is really helpful since it shows us what we are capable of and it encourage us to work hard to overcome our weaknesses.
