Reflect on a job from your past where you think you were exposed to a hazard. If you cannot think of a personal example, ask someone you know who was exposed to a hazard. Write up to four sentences describing the job, the specific hazard, and how you think the exposure occurred. Use one of the online references to research the hazard's harmful effects. Write a one-sentence description of the effects.
Next, use the Risk Matrix to rate the risk associated with that hazard/situation. What steps do you think could control the hazard and reduce the risk? What additional information would help you to assess the risk more accurately so you could recommend control measures?
