Generational wealth is a hot button topic, as the ideal of the kind of wealth that many people would like to build for themselves and their families. The issue with generational wealth is that part of it is based on family culture, networking and education, as the article says, "Intangibles like financial education, values, and habits are an equally important part of the equation." There is a disparity based on race when it comes to wealth, especially generational wealth. According to the website USA Facts, "Racial financial inequality is often discussed in terms of income inequality. While income inequality is important, it is essential that it is complemented by an understanding of wealth inequality. Inequities in holdings of wealth are particularly central to perpetuating economic immobility across generations."
