Field trips remain an important part of an early childhood curriculum. After reading our text material, consider the following questions:
a) What, from a social studies standpoint, is the value in field trips to children?
b) What social studies skills can be learned from field trips?
c) What curriculum activities should be done before and after a classroom field trip?
d) What field trips (places you have visited with children) have you participated in and how did the trip address the area of social studies?
