During the first four weeks of the term, we spent considerable time discussing a case study entitled "What's Happening?" It involved two business owners who were experiencing an incredibly difficult (yet all too common) challenge involving their forecasts of future demand.
a.) What was the primary lesson of the case...the root cause of the challenge being faced by Michael and Kaye?
b.) If these business owners do nothing different, what will be the (mathematically) inevitable outcome?
c.) What is the very first thing these business owners MUST learn so as to prevent the outcome suggested above? How might they best obtain this information/knowledge?
