Amanda has worked for the past six months getting ready to open her own child care center in her community. She located the site, made the required renovations, obtained a license and contract with DHS, hired staff, and did all the many other things needed for opening day. That day is fast approaching and she still has only 43 children enrolled. She needs at least 52 full-time tuitions to break even in expenses, not to mention a salary for her.
