Problem
Utility-maximizing, competitive free-enterprise systems are believed to provide higher social welfare than monopoly regimes. Their leaden shun exploiting other nations. Does this mean that authoritarian societies without these scruples may sometimes achieve higher levels of domestic welfare by exploiting outsiders? In what sense can this be considered a liberal paradox?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
