In the following op-ed in the New York Times, Dr. Patricia Williams, a prominent scholar of race and law, argues for the continuing need for affirmative action. If you were going to debate this topic with Dr. Williams on the importance of diversity-based policies, what scholarly argument would you put forward in the debate? You may make an argument either affirming Dr. William's views on the topic, or you may make an argument opposing her viewpoint.
