Prepare for Total Domination: Queer theorists evaluate the ways in which characters subvert dominant narratives. Compare and contrast the ways in which two characters from different works combat one to two dominant narratives. What roles do the characters' identities, abilities to meet their basic needs, acceptance within society and/or chosen families, subversion of expected roles, relationships to their bodies, and/or exertion of performativity play in their ability to undermine established systems?
