Discussion Post: What Is Public Policy?
Select a current example of a policy issue that has arisen under the umbrella of civil rights. Think broadly about all areas of policy when picking your topic (defense and international security, criminal justice, social justice, health, education, etc). Then present the following:
o Describe the issue briefly, including identifying specific constitutional protections and summarizing key policy changes over its history.
o What role have interest groups and the mass media played in keeping this issue on the policy agenda?
o Have individual rights eroded or been strengthened related to this specific policy?
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
