After reading about WWI and watching Metropolis, write about how you see the transformative effects of World War I. When the war started, people were essentially still living in the nineteenth century. But the War transformed the people and the cultures in which they lived. Metropolis, made in 1927, is a stark departure from nineteenth-century world views. So, what role did WWI play in that change in world view?
