Strategic implementation requires people to change behavior to something different from what they have been doing. This is often approached by implementing policies and procedures that reward desired behavior, and/or punish non-compliance with the desired change. Rewards and incentives seem like a simple solution to motivating employees, but quite often they may lead to unintended consequences. Think carefully about how you plan to motivate employees and managers to implement your plan.
