My previous experience in writing comes from high school and college. College is where I started to understand how to write a paper, even though it took me a lot of attempts and time to really grasp how to write a persuasive opinionated paper. Still to this day when it comes to writing either an email, paper, or a note I find myself struggling with grammar, punctuation, connecting words, or repetitively using the same words. With my writing experiences, I know I still have a lot to learn when it comes to a research paper such as how to cite creditable sources to finding creditable sources, but I am eager to learn how to write a research paper.
Being able to author research paper will help me in a professional life but also in my personal life. So my take away from this class is to further learn proper punctuation, grammar, and to be able to grasp and complete a research paper. When thinking about starting my career in Human Resources I feel like being able to cite other peoples work and have grammatically correct work will be an extremely important part of the career. So I am hoping by taking Writing 112 I will gain the knowledge on how to cite other peoples work correctly, as well as improve my grammar and punctuation.
