What research techniques did you use to learn about topic

Problem

This problem focuses on qualitative observation in the social sciences. Before you begin, read the chapter on qualitative. Then: Analyze 50 incident summaries from Philadelphia Police Department's officer-involved-shootings from the Department's website. As a social scientist, what catches your attention? Are there patterns or commonalities between incidents as they are reported in the summaries? Consider analyzing aspects like the language used in the summaries, officers' actions prior to or after shooting, des?r?ptions of individuals involved, individuals' actions before and/or after being shot. Be aware that these summaries frequently reference shooting, injury, and death. Also, be mindful that as a social scientist, it is necessary to remain unbiased; this means that you should describe what you observe about the summaries, but your des?r?ptions should not pass judgment onto the individuals or summaries. Make sure to discuss at least three of the following: What is your research topic? Identify the "sample." Who is it, and how many subjects make up the sample? How was the sample selected? What research "techniques" did you use to learn more about the research topic? What did you learn? What are some of the strengths of this qualitative study? What are some of the weaknesses of this qualitative study? As a researcher, what would you do differently in the future?

The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
