Complete some research. Imagine you were going to sell or trade your (or a family member's) care to a private party. You will have to know the year, make, and specific model of the car, as well as the current odometer reading and an inventory of the car's features. Go to at least one national site (e.g., Edmonds, Kelly Blue Book), and one local site (dealership website or a seller's platform). Research the value of your car according to the national site, then compare it to the actual selling price you found on a local site.
