What preferred techniques match the most effective technique

Problem

In chapter 6, the "In Focus: Optimal Learning Techniques" section (p. 203-204) describes what research has learned about study techniques. Some techniques are found to be particularly effective (e.g., practice testing, distributed practice) and others mostly ineffective (e.g., highlighting, writing summaries). Read this brief section before completing this assignment. (You do not need to read any other parts of chapter 6 for this assignment.)

For this problem reflect on how you typically study and how this compares to the research. Then craft a brief essay that describes this reflection, and any conclusions you might reach. You do not need to address each of the questions below, but you might consider:

1) What are some preferred techniques match the most effective techniques?

2) Are you surprised by the research findings; why or why not? If you feel like your experience differs from the findings, how can you reconcile that conflict?

3) Are there ways you might be able to implement the effective techniques (more) in your future studying? How? Consider developing and writing down some plans for this.
