Write a double-spaced on each one - a single page for each will be fine.
= Give an example of where you have found the boundary between science and technology to be difficult to determine and how you sorted out the distinction.
= Given an example of where you may have found Descartes' methods helpful - remember that Descartes went through a rigorous process of reducing all of what passed for knowledge to that one irreducible point of "I think, therefore I am." Where have you needed to clear your mind of all preconceptions in order to learn something new?
= Give a practical example of where you have experienced that revolutionary change from the Industrial/Smokestack Revolution to the Knowledge/Communications Revolution. Don't just use computerization - that is just too obvious and easy.
= What preconceptions did you bring to the Technology, Society, and Culture course - maybe even just on the three words of the title - that might not serve you very well and need to be overcome as the course begins?
