In your Course Modules/Materials, you will find a video segment The Color of Fear during which men of different racial and ethnic backgrounds discuss what it means to them to be American. After you view this film and have read Chapter One, discuss "What is an American?" Analyze your response by describing what patterns emergent when describing an "American," and who is included in this and who is excluded in this description. What factors might explain the differences.
