Problem
Throughout the modern era, women have had to fight for legal and social control over their own bodies and to be recognized as legal adults capable of making political decisions as well as personal ones. Compare the two documents ("Abortion on Trial" and "I am a Feminist") with the film Killing us Softly.
i. Can women yet claim ownership of their bodies?
ii. What parallels do you see in the recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v Wade?
iii. What similarities do you see in the fight for reproductive rights, and the media's commodification of female bodies?
