As a clinical psychology doctoral student, you will be required to choose a primary theoretical orientation. This does not mean that you have to choose just one or choose one right now. Students must gain competency in one as your primary theoretical orientation while still in training. It is essential that you understand these. Describing each, make comparisons and contrasts, and talk about what orientation you most identify with at this point.
